The story so far…

Unfortunately for you this is not ‘the story so far’ so I am afraid I am not about to give away any spoilers. Not just yet anyway.

As I sit here on the train home from London, my pen in hand, my head filled with this new world that only I can see, I wonder… I wonder what other people will make of my world. The faces I see, the smells I inhale, the lives of my characters becoming more and more real each day. Knowing that these images I have will differ for each reader that enters my world. I have well and truly been bitten by this writing bug. I am addicted. There is no tool more powerful than the human mind. The possibilities are endless. There is no guide book, no map, just me, a pen and paper.

With chapter four well under way, there is nothing more I can give away

With every twist and change in plan, I’ll keep you posted as much as I can

Soon you’ll meet my new best friends, and find out where this story ends
Stay with me it’s worth the wait, follow me and tell your mate

I will be posting regular updates from now on. Thank you to all those who are either following my blog or keeping an eye on my face book page. Your support means more than you realise.

Until next time…

I’ve been hanging by the telephone all day for this – I enjoyed the rhyming but you didn’t put your quote in there 😉

I can’t over use the quote Libby! It’s already on my ‘About’ page. 😉

So…how to create hype for your blog?
First of all, get hype yourself! I can tell you’re already doing that. But that’s a really important step and a step you’ll need to always revive and “keep going”, so to speak.
Second: BLOG! The more you write, the more people will find your stuff. Make sure you tag well…that’s really the key. For commercial reasons, tag stuff that may not entirely relate to your blog, but instead the stuff that’s popular (love, beauty, etc.). People who blog about love and beauty still might be interested in reading a good novel, even if they don’t blog about it!
I’m not sure if there’s too much more advice i can give you. Tap into social media networks. Visit other blogs similar to yours and tell them to check it out. Try to be the first person to submit your blog on the “Community Pool” (this works wonders). And be creative!
    I hope this helps.

That’s extremely useful advice Aul! Thank you. I will definitely put those steps into action. I am very passionate about my story so I am equally passionate to get word out to my potential readers. It’s exciting! Thanks again. Mark

Hey man just searching around wordpress and found your blog. Wish you the best of luck having success with your upcoming book! I’m trying to get a book published too. It’s a rough arena, but your writing style feels very fluid and I’m happy to see you’re excited about the story you’ve crafted. If you don’t believe in it, nobody will. Hope you’re able to find your way 🙂
